You Don’t Have to Be an Expert
You do not need to show up as a perfect writer, photographer or designer. Good staff members are curious, reliable, willing to listen and open to revision. If you care about the school and want to learn, there is a place for you.
Ways to Help
Students can report news, write features, cover games, take photos, make graphics, edit stories, create social videos, write opinion pieces, interview classmates or help run the website. You can start small and take on more as you get comfortable.
What You’ll Learn
Staff members practice interviewing, writing clearly, working with deadlines, editing for accuracy, using photos responsibly and building confidence with real published work. The goal is not just to make a newspaper; it is to help students become sharper communicators.
How to Start
Send us a note, talk to a current staff member or bring us a story idea. If you are not sure what you want to do yet, that is fine too. We can help you find a role that fits your interests.
